I'm Sam, the creative brains behind Pen & Pearl. I started the business back in 2020 as something to keep me sane during the lockdowns but SO much has happened since then!
There's been many iterations of the brand that you see today (about a million name changes and logos!) There's been loads of new designs, some good, some bad! I got married, had a baby, renovated a house, the list goes on...
In 2025 I made the terrifying leap into being self employed, sacked off my full time job and decided to open a gift shop / play cafe in the heart of Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Some may say I'm brave, some may call me crazy...
I get asked this all the time so I wanted to explain in a nutshell exactly what you'll find here at Pen & Pearl.
On the website you'll be able to browse and order our full range of laser cut signs and designs. This includes all of our bestselling products such as the personalised wooden name signs and unique wall art. For help and inspiration when ordering you can visit our Pen & Pearl Gifts instagram page which is packed with colour inspo, and orders which we've previously made.
If you're local to Hebden Bridge you can visit our bricks and mortar store, Pen & Pearl Studio. Here you'll be able to browse our gift shop which features a curated range of gifts from other brands alongside our laser cut creations. Our shop is the gift that keeps on giving... at the back you'll find a play cafe, serving delicious coffees and cakes which you can enjoy whilst your little ones play in our mini shop.
For anyone who loves to try their hand at a new craft, we'll also be hosting regular creative workshops at the shop which can be pre-booked through the website. Adult sessions will run on an evening and kids sessions will be in a morning. Details about all upcoming workshops will be posted on our Pen & Pearl Studio Instagram page.
